SoftTouch Products Support

This document supports most of the SoftTouch branded library. It covers support for all of our products except My Own Bookshelf or Test Me Score Me which have their own dedicated pages.



SoftTouch Products Compatibility Errors:
Issue: | Home
When I start Teaching Access Ability, I get an script error.
Solution:
Teaching Access Ability uses Quicktime to show movies. You should download the latest Quicktime player.
 
Issue: | Home
When I start Wheels on the Bus, I get an script error.
Solution:
Wheels on the Bus uses Quicktime to show movies. You should download the latest Quicktime player.
 
Issue: | Home
The application needs at least 3MB of virtual memory to run.
Solution:
If you start up any one of our programs and you receive this message, it means your software title needs to be upgraded to the latest version.
 
Issue: | Home
The application or DLL D:\xtras\IKXTRA.X32 is not a valid Windows image.  Please check this against your installation diskette.
Solution:
If you start up any one of our programs and you receive this message, it means your software title needs to be upgraded to the latest version.
 
Issue: | Home
When I start Teaching Access Ability, the top and bottom of the screen doesn't show.
Solution:
Teaching Access Ability requires that the screen resolution of your computer set to 1024 x 768 or higher.

Changing Your Desktop Resolution:
  • Right click on the desktop. Select->Properties.
  • Once the properties window shows, select the Settings tab.
  • Move the slider bar to the right so it is 1024x768 or larger.
  • Click OK.
 
Issue: | Home
When you start a program, you get the message "Cannot copy file..."
Solution:
If you start up any one of our programs and you receive this message, it means your software title needs to be upgraded to the latest version.
 
Issue: | Home
Internal Error 2349: Copy resumed with different info.
Solution:
If you are attempting to install one of our programs from a CD-ROM and get the error 2349, follow these instructions.

Work-around for 2349:
  • Open up My Computer
  • Right click on the CD-ROM where the installer is located.
  • Click Copy
  • Right-click on the Desktop and click paste.
  • Once the copy has completed, browse to the folder and execute the installer.
  • Once the installation has completed, you can delete this folder.

Ordinal 56 could not be located in dll ibmeci.dll.
Solution:
If you start up any one of our programs and you receive this message, it means your software title needs to be upgraded to the latest version.
